ASNW Work Day:  May 7th - 9AM - Deer Park Airfield
Come help ASNW clean up the track, fill holes and cracks and more.  This day is FOR YOU, so if you Auto Cross, please come help make the surface we run on even better.  More information can be found on our Forums.  Lunch is on ASNW if you come help.

Meet & Eat:  May 27th - 6:00PM - Flamin' Joes Spokane Valley
We have had a couple of low turnouts lately (likely due to location and weather) so we picked everyone's favorite location for the next Meet & Eat.  If you want a seat at the "main' table be sure to be on time as FJs gets really busy on Friday nights. 

Auto Cross Events 5/6:  May 28th/29th - 8:00AM - Spokane County Raceway
Pre-Registration is up and this event is going to be a big one!  ASNW was offered the freshly paved race track at Spokane County Raceway and happily accepted.  90-120 second runs will be likely as we will have the ENTIRE track to ourselves.  Except 80-100 drivers.  Don't miss out on this event!

2011 Racing Results

Rose Cup Opener
A BIG congratulations is in order for my friend and one of the best drivers in our club, Adam Harding who won his first Novice ICSCC Road Race in Portland on Saturday beating out 25 drivers.  "Big Balls" and better brakes is what Harding said carried him past the field.  Congratulations, Adam!

ASNW Event 3/4 Results
Another excellent weekend of Auto Cross put on by the folks at ASNW.  Weather was great up until about 2PM on Saturday when the second Run Group got hosed (literally) on by the rain God's.  Despite this, the courses were excellent (Good job Ricky Bang!) and the competition was fierce in just about every class.

On Saturday our good friend Darci came out in here Cobalt SS and dominated Stock 3 by over 1.5 seconds. 

In Stock Street Tire the battle between myself and Kevin Riordan got even more heated as I squeaked a win out by 0.159 seconds.  Kevin and I finished 5th and 6th Overall in PAX and 7th and 10th in RAW. 

Rodd Tidd once again dominated Non-Stock Street Tire in his Cooper S winning by over 1.7 seconds and finished 9th overall in PAX and 8th overall in RAW.

Darci again on Sunday pulled out a dominating victory winning by nearly 4.4 seconds in S3.  Adam Harding fell just short in his Race Prepped ST Racecar in Non-Stock 3 losing to Steve McLain's beautiful Datsun 240z by .3 seconds.

If you thought Saturday's battle between Kevin and I was close, Sunday's got even closer.  .007 was the difference between winning and losing as I was able to hold of Kevin one more day taking the win.  For the weekend, I beat Kevin both days by .16 seconds.  After 4 events, Kevin and I are only 2 points the differ which is a remarkably close.

In Non-Stock Street Tire, Rodd Tidd again won but not by much as Tom Mill came out in his E30 325i and came within a second of once again taking out 'The King.'   Rodd, myself and Kevin all finished 15th-17th respectively.

5erWest 2011 - July 23rd, 2011
Jake and Tyler have began planning 5erWest 2011 which is scheduled for July 23rd in Gladstone, Oregon.  Registration is now OPEN!  Please visit the 5erWest Website for full event information and registration.  Also check us out on Facebook.

Update:  Jake has been hard at work and has acquired a bunch of new sponsors for this years event including a magazine covering the event.  Good work, Jake!

nwBMWclub Title Sponsor for ASNW 2011
Once again our club has decided to be the Title Sponsor for the 2011 AutoSports Northwest Racing Season.  This is a rather large investment thus we are always looking for donation's to help support our club.  We hate asking for money but if anyone can spare some coin in these difficult financial times we would greatly appreciate it.  Donation's can be sent to nwbmwclub@comcast.net VIA Paypal.  And as always, this money is ALWAYS reinvested back into the club for items like sponsoring events/cars, website hosting fees, decal costs and more.

nwBMWclub hosting an Auto Cross
Details are not finalized but our club will be hosting an Auto Cross at Spokane County Raceway on September 4th, 2011.  We are looking for volunteers to help put on this event.  Please visit this THREAD for more details and volunteering information.
