2011 Racing Results

ASNW Event 1/2 Results
Great weekend of racing and if you missed it, well I feel sorry for you unless you were at the 4 Hours of Pacific Raceways.

Since I will be doing timing this year, I will have a better idea of how the race weekends went and thus giving more details on the weekend.

In Non-Stock 2 David battled Bryan and Vickie in their CSP Miata's while driving his DSP 328i running on StarSpec Street Tires.  The cry of the weekend was "Run your race tires! as David managed a 3rd place just .2 behind Bryan on Saturday and .4 behind the class winner, Vickie Livengood.  On Sunday he was able to pull out a second place finish beating Bryan and .5 but was down 1.2 seconds to Vickie.  Run your race tires Dave!

A surprising battle in Non-Stock Street Tire left Tom Miller running his DSP 325i just .143 seconds behind the winning time of Rodd Tidd in his Mini Cooper S.  Since I have been racing with ASNW, this is the closest I have ever seen anyone come to beating Rodd.  On Sunday Rodd dominated the class winning by nearly 2.5 seconds.

In Stock Street Tire there was a real battle for the number 1 position all weekend between myself in my 97 M3 and Kevin Riordan running his 99 M3.  Both of our cars are near identical with the same tires, same suspension and same chassis.  There is nothing better then a good old fashioned drivers race and Kevin took the top spot on Saturday winning by .4 seconds while I could not-not hit a cone.  Sunday was just as close but I was able to take the win by .6 seconds on my last run of the day which was just enough to beat Kevin as he too set his fastest time of the day on his last run.

Doug Newell driving his STi finished 3rd both days in Street Touring X/U losing to a very well setup WRX.

March 26th/27th Test'n'Tune Results
The first Auto Cross weekend of the season went off as expected with any ASNW event:  Lots of runs, and done on time.  Hell, even the weather held up on Saturday for the 60+ races who showed.  Thank you to those who came out and made this event happen.  The real fun starts April 9th and 10th with the first points events of the season.  Hope to see you all there!
