Auto Cross Events 8/9:
July 31st/August 1st 8AM - Deer Park
Airfield
Points events 8 and 9 are almost here.
Don't forget to PRE-REGISTER before the
event. Again, if you need any help,
shoot
James an e-mail. It looks as if
there will be quite a few Novice's from our
club attending this weekend so come join the
fun!

Spokane Grand Prix 2010
Wrap-up
After countless hours of
preparation, Scott Norton and team made the
trip over from the West Side to compete in
the Spokane Grand Prix. However, the
weekend was not to be. The recently
rebuilt S52 M3 engine spun a bearing on
Scott's second practice lap thus putting an
end to the weekend for Scott and his team.
Friends of the club Eric Krause and Mike
McAleenan would provide more than enough
entertainment though. Just before a
fiery wreck in which a racer in a Porsche RS
launched his car into the air, Eric in the
Porsche 968 and Mike in the E46 M3 were
trading their best moves trying to take over
the lead in the Sport Touring class.
During the wreck, both drivers had stopped
at the end of the straight side by side.
I only wish I had my camera on me to capture
this moment. Upon the restart, Mike
was able to over take Eric finally and went
on to win the ST class. It was a very
exciting race! Thank you to both Mike
and Eric.
Last year Scott Norton had
pushed his car to the limit and lost a very
exciting All-BMW Special Race narrowly
coming in 2nd place. This year, Mike
was kind of enough to loan Scott his E46 M3
and Scott went out and dominated the race
coming from the rear of the pack into the
lead by the 5th lap and cruising to a
comfortable victory. Congratulations
Scott and getting that one back!

Another dominating weekend by nwBMWclub
taking home 11 trophy's for the weekend
including 8 First Place Finishes!
Saturday Results:
- 5
First Place Finishes (James S2, Rodd S3,
Adam NS1, David NS2, Chris NS3)
- 1 Second Place Finish (Michon NS1)
Rodd
took home FTD Pax while James H finished 2nd
overall. Chris M finished 4th overall
raw while James H finished 5th overall raw.
